Bishop and First Lady

 

Under the leadership of Pastor Felix Lewis at Westside Church of God in Christ; Pastor Davis and Mother Davis accepted Christ at the age of 22. They later joined Elite Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder George Perry. There, Pastor Davis served as an Assistant Pastor for 14 years.

In 1977, Pastor Davis and Mother Davis founded New Hope Church of God in Christ, with the loving support of their 15 children (seven girls and eight boys). With a hand full of members, the first services were held on 18th and Atkinson. As the membership grew, they later moved to 25th and Center.

As the ministry continued to grow, the Lord blessed them to buy a church building on the corner of Hubbard and Meinecke in 1977.
The ministry flourished and God elevated Pastor Davis. He served as Superintendent for 30 plus years and as Administrative Assistant for 20 plus years. He is currently and honorary  administrative assistant. Pastor Davis is a Prophet and anointed man of God.

As the first lady of New Hope, Mother Davis served as the state YWCC president for years. She was also the state Treasurer for 10 years and State Marshall for 28 years. Mother Davis is a
loving and dedicated mother to all. Under their spiritual guidance, 12 elders were ordained and 5 were called to pastor. Countless souls were saved, people healed, and lives changed.
In 2009 Pastor Davis and the congregation moved to our current location here on Walnut, where they continue to fulfill the vision
in which God has given Pastor Davis.
